We are living in a digital society.
As such, we must observe
digital etiquette.

You wouldn't peek at your friends notes.
You wouldn't present someone else's achievements as your own.
You wouldn't hate someone you see on the street.

The etiquette we commonly observe in daily life
is easily violated in digital society.

You, with a bright future ahead,
should learn digital etiquette.

These are the tools for living in the future.

After the lesson, students said
I didn't undertand copyright as well as I thought

Comments from students after the lesson (excerpt)

  • Takasaki Girls Gunma Prefectural High School

I learned about copyright at school, but it felt like I was just memorizing words, and it didn't seem like something I could use in real life. With this program, I was able to think while seeing examples--and through thought experiements--I realized how relevant copyright was in everyday life. Up until now, I only thought people like movie producers were affected, but realizing I too was a creator, I learned I must be careful when sharing online. (Takasaki Girls Gunma Prefectural High School)

  • Digital Etiquette for Teenagers Program Conducted at Swedish High School, Baluda

I knew about copyright from the internet, but through the lesson I learned about it properly for the first time. The framework of public domain was particularly interesting. I knew that anyone could used a creators work after a set number of years had passed since their death, but I didn’t know the exact number of years. (Baldergymnasiet, Sweden)

  • Digital Etiquette for Teenagers Program Conducted at Malaysian Middle High School, SMI Al Amin Kemaman

Up until now I didn’t have an opportunity to properly learn about copyright. This digital etiquette program was my first experience. I have friends who know about copyright and friends who dont, so this lesson was important. Before I took the lesson, I didn’t know much about copyright, but through the program I was able to understand the structure and design of copyright.(SMI Al Amin Kemaman, Malaysia)
